After noticing that many customers coming to his body shop didn't have the money to pay their car insurance deductible, Michael Katz started a membership-based auto maintenance club to save drivers costs on various services, improve their cars' fuel efficiency and generate business.

For an annual fee of $159.95, the Car Care Club will provide a safety and efficiency inspection, three oil changes, three tire rotations and inspections and three car washes.

In addition to the regular maintenance services, CCC offers savings on other maintenance services, including up to $500 toward a collision deductible, assistance with a rental car during a repair and free in town towing, and up to 50 percent off labor rates for service, detail and collision repair. The club will also help members deal with insurance claims, buy a car, sell their car and many other services.

The club is located in the Motor Nation complex at 2625 N. Main St.. Motor Nation’s Florida Collision provides the body work, while Denunzio's Auto Repair provides mechanical work and Sure Clean provides detail services on site. Katz said he is also negotiating with Enterprise, which has the club's rental contract, to keep cars on site.  “The network is growing and will soon include shops on Gainesville’s west side and possibly up to High Springs and down to Ocala.”, said Katz.

Katz said members could increase fuel efficiency 20-30 percent for savings up to $600 per year with the proper oil, filter and tire pressure.  Also a well maintained car is less likely to experience a mechanical breakdown or more expensive catastrophic event.
